Atticus, the father, is sitting on a chair outside the jail. All of sudden these strange men come and surround him. Demanding to be let inside the jail cell. Or in Scout's words, the "one room gothic joke of a jail." All those men ganging up on Atticus. Lucky Scout was there with Jem and Dill. If Scout hadn't run to her father, he might of been beaten to a pulp by those circle of men trying to get to whatever or whoever is in that jail cell! I think that it's a person that there looking for. That he/she is in the jail and these men know so. It might be one of Atticus's clients!!!!!!!!! Oh!!!!! He/she probably testified against one of the people trying to hurt Atticus!!!!! Because he's a lawyer it would make sense!!!! No WONDER they want the person inside the cell!!!!!
Ok. I'm understanding now. I'm gonna read on a see if my prediction come's true. :D

Danielle,
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed how I could see your thinking as the post went on. Keep telling us how and when you are comprehending something. Also I love the quote you picked out. In our class we call this a "golden line". It is a line that stands out because it is important, you just like it, it has great description, etc
